Lions Gate Entertainment, Inc., and its Grindstone Entertainment Group have extended their partnership with Emmett/Furla Films for another 10 movies, several of which will be released through the new Lionsgate Premiere label. The partnership's eagerly-anticipated upcoming slate includes the heist film Bus 657, starring Robert DeNiro and Kate Bosworth, the CIA action thriller The Extraction, teaming Bruce Willis, Kellan Lutz and Gina Carano, and the thriller Daughter of God, featuring an all-star cast led by John Wick'sKeanu Reeves and Mira Sorvino. Several films from the Grindstone collaboration with Emmett/Furla will be released through Lionsgate's new Premiere specialty distribution label, kicking off with The Extraction.

Lions Gate Entertainment, Inc. Announces Executive Promotions

Lionsgate Entertainment Inc. announced that it has promoted Jim Packer and Ron Schwartz to be co-heads of its worldwide home entertainment operations. They will continue to report to the company Co-COO and Motion Picture Group President Steve Beeks. Packer willkeep his current title and responsibilities as President of Worldwide Television & Digital Distribution while Schwartz will serve as President of the company Home Entertainment, and the two executives will jointly run the company’s nearly $1 billion-a-year worldwide home entertainment operations. Packer's promotion follows his recent signing of a new long-term agreement with the company. Schwartz entered a new long-term deal with the company last year and has been upped from his previous position as President & General Manager of the company Home Entertainment Sales & Distribution. Schwartz and Packer will both assume expanded responsibility for crafting the marketing strategies of the company’s Home Entertainment Group worldwide, maintaining the company's uniquely integrated focus on digital and physical media as well as planning and executing strategic initiatives to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the global home entertainment marketplace.

Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. Commences Consent Solicitation from Note Holders

Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. announced that on June 14 commenced a consent solicitation from holders of its outstanding $436 million 10.25% senior secured second-priority notes due 2016 to amend the indenture governing the 2016 notes. The proposed amendments would enable the company to issue new notes that would be secured on an equal and ratable basis with the 2016 notes in an amount of up to $400 million, according to a Form 8-K filed June 14. Subject to receipt of the required consents in the consent solicitation, the company is considering a private offering of up to $400 million of the new notes. The company expects to use the net proceeds from the new note offering to repay a portion of the outstanding borrowings under its $800 million senior revolving credit facility and for other general corporate purposes. Further, the proposed amendments and the new note offering will provide Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. with additional flexibility in its plan to call the 2016 notes, which are redeemable at 105.125% of the principal amount thereof. Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. intends to redeem the 2016 notes on or about November 1. In the consent solicitation, Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. is offering to pay $2 in cash per $1,000 principal amount of the 2016 notes to each note holder.
