Vip Mobile Introduces VipDrop Storage Service

Vip Mobile has introduced the VipDrop service that provides up to 100 GB of online storage and unlimited data for browsing the VipDrop, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive services. The VipDrop service is available to users of new post-paid and internet tariffs and the first month is free of charge. VipDrop apps are available for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, PCs (Windows, Linux and Mac) and the web browser. Five add-ons are available: 4 GB for RSD 69, 10 GB for RSD 149, 25 GB for RSD 299, 50 GB for RSD 499 and 100 GB for RSD 999.

Vip Mobile announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company narrowed its negative earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) to EUR 2.6 million ($2.8 million) from EUR 3.1 million a year earlier. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) stood at EUR 10.7 million in the three months through March while revenues fell 7.8% to EUR 45.5 million. The company invested EUR 15.5 million, mostly in the expansion of 4G LTE services and the upgrade of the existing 3G and 2G network.
Vip Mobile Expands LTE Coverage in Belgrade

Vip Mobile has activated the LTE signal on the 100th radio base station in central Belgrade, neat the Church of Saint Sava in Vracar. Most of the territory of Belgrade (New Belgrade, Zemun and city centre) and the whole of Pancevo were covered in only three weeks. The operator is planning to continue expanding the 4G technology in Kopaonik and Zlatibor and then in major cities in Serbia. Vip is planning to invest more than EUR 30 million in the development of 4G network technology and improvement of 2G and 3G networks in Serbia.
