CTIA-The Wireless Association Announces Executive Appointments

CTIA-The Wireless Association announced that it hired two new members of its senior leadership team as well as promotions for three currently on staff. New CTO. Thomas (Tom) Sawanobori, effective immediately, is CTIAs first Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. With more than 20 years of network engineering and technology planning experience for Verizon, including lead planner of Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, his in-depth expertise will be integral for the Associations focus on technical matters. New Communications Head. Effective March 30, Stephanie Mathews OKeefe will serve as its Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer where she will lead the Associations trade show, public affairs, philanthropy, membership and outreach efforts. Ms. Mathews OKeefe joins CTIA from the American Bankers Association, and has more than 20 years of experience in public affairs and communications in the private sector, philanthropic organizations and government. Additional Promotions. Brad Gillen, formerly Chief of Staff, is now its Executive Vice President responsible for CTIAs day-to-day management and strategic initiatives. Rocco Carlitti, formerly its Vice President of Operations, is now its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer responsible for all administrative and financial aspects of the Association. Amy Storey, formerly Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs, is now its Vice President of Public Affairs and serves as primary spokesperson and responsible for the public education of its advocacy efforts. These promotions are effective immediately. Mr. Sawanobori was Verizons Vice President of Technology and Network Planning, where he was responsible for technology planning and capital management. Previously, Ms. Mathews OKeefe was the Executive Vice President of Communications at the American Bankers Association, responsible for its marketing, media strategy, publications, member communications and philanthropy.
