KCDC Announces Board Appointments

Mayor Madeline Rogero has named two new members to the KCDC board of commissioners. Dan Murphy and John Turner will join the seven-member panel that oversees agency programs including affordable public housing administration, redevelopment and rental assistance programs. Murphy is an accounting professor at the University of Tennessee, where he headed the accounting department from 2003 to 2012. Turner retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority as senior vice president of education, training and diversity in 2002 and was president of Knoxville College from 1990 to 1994. Terms for both began in April. Murphy will serve a five-year term, while Turner was elected to finish the term of outgoing board member Montina Jones.
