Dermalogica Launches New Redness Relief Primer Spf20

Dermalogica announced the launch of Redness Relief Primer SPF20 as part of the brand's UltraCalming line, a new facial primer with a sheer green tint. This new formula calms irritation, protects skin from UVA/UVB exposure which can further aggravate sensitization, produces a smooth, translucent, red-neutralizing finish for an even skin tone, and primes the skin surface for a more flawless makeup application and longer makeup wear. Redness Relief Primer SPF20 addresses redness in both the short and long-term. Natural botanical extracts of Yeast, Oat and Oat Kernel Oil offer immediate calming effects on the flushed appearance of skin, which is irritated by over processing, dehydration resulting from extremely low pH (2.5-3.5) or high pH (above 8) from soap-and-water cleansing, strong ADA products, allergens such as pollen and artificial fragrances, contact with environmental irritants, sun exposure, stress or other sources of inflammation. The extract of Oat, or Avena Sativa, is rich in avenanthramides, the active phytic component proven to have natural anti-redness and anti-irritant properties.

Dermalogica Launches the New Power Resurfacing Peel, an Exclusive Treatment for All ULTA Beauty Locations

Dermalogica and ULTA Beauty joined forces to introduce Dermalogica's new Power Resurfacing Peel, a professional, exfoliation treatment, customized to each person's unique skin conditions, will be offered exclusively to ULTA Beauty customers nationwide. The benefits of Power Resurfacing Peel include improving cell-turnover and collagen production, decreasing surface roughness, reducing breakouts and fine lines, and fading hyperpigmentation. Unlike most peels, Power Resurfacing Peel requires 30 minutes and delivers immediate results with no downtime for recovery. Dermalogica is the exclusive professional skincare brand at Ulta offering professional skin treatments. The Power Resurfacing Peel joins the current menu of skin treatments which includes 20-minute targeted MicroZone treatment and 60-minute full facial treatments. While there is no downtime, Dermalogica recommends that clients adhere to the post-treatment at-home care instructions as provided by their professional skin therapist to achieve optimal results. Clients are recommended to use Power Resurfacing Peel After Care Kit, which contains a one-week supply of UltraCalming Cleanser, UltraCalming Mist, UltraCalming Serum Concentrate, Daily Microfoliant and Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50, in order to achieve optimum results. Dermalogica's Power Resurfacing Peel will be available at ULTA Beauty locations for $40 per treatment session, and $90 (a $120 value) for a series of three treatments, starting in August, 2014. Dermalogica Launches New BioActive Peel

Dermalogica's chemical peel, exclusively formulated for use in skin care centers, spas and salons. This new exfoliant system addresses a diverse array of conditions. In addition to reducing skin roughness and the appearance of fine lines, BioActive Peel fades hyperpigmentation, treats pseudofolliculitis (razor bumps), and helps to clear acneic inflammation. The four-step program offers the many benefits of traditional chemical peels, but with little to no post-peel redness or downtime -- a huge advantage for consumers. The application process consists of layers of biphasic, enzyme and acid peel solutions which are neutralized in the fourth and final step by using a foaming de-activator. Because of the intensity of the powerful active ingredients, special training and certification are required to use BioActive Peel. Active ingredients including 20% Salicylic Acid, Pumpkin, Papaya and other enzymes, 30% Lactic Acid and 15% Trichloracetic Acid (TCA) stimulate natural collagen production in the skin, for a more robust structure and appearance, deep hydration, and more consistent, integrated skin texture. A final step utilizes Sodium Bicarbonate, Yeast Extract, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Cucumber and other cooling, calming botanicals to neutralize the action of the biphasic peel solution.
