Aircelle S.A. Key Developments
Aircelle Opens its First U.S. Facility in Indianapolis
Mar 13 15
Aircelle formally inaugurated the Aircelle Services Americas facility at Indianapolis, Indiana, bringing the company's expertise in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for its jet engine nacelles that are operational across North and South America. The 17,000-square-ft. MRO shop provides high quality, cost effective and reliable maintenance solutions matched to customers' needs, having started with Aircelle-manufactured nacelles for regional aircraft and business jets - and now expanding to nacelles for single-aisle and widebody airliners. Aircelle Services Americas' MRO capabilities are quickly expanding to other Aircelle-produced nacelles, beginning with CFM International CFM56-5 engines that power Airbus' A320 family of twin-jet airliners, the Pratt & Whitney PW6000 for Airbus' A318, the PowerJet SaM146 powerplants on twin-engine Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional aircraft, and Rolls-Royce Trent 700s for Airbus' A330 twin-engine widebody jetliner.

Boeing Selects Aircelle to Supply Titanium Exhaust for Engines on the New 777X Jetliner
Dec 11 14
Aircelle will produce titanium exhaust systems for the new 777X commercial jetliner for Boeing. These exhaust systems will equip the 777X's two GE9X turbofan engines from GE Aviation, providing the benefits of lower mass, along with increased resistance to heat with the use of Aircelle processes for titanium high-temperature applications. The exhaust system includes acoustically-treated areas for a reduced noise level signature. Based on its experience and proprietary database, Aircelle has optimized the design and manufacturing processes in metallics for nacelle applications, and developed methods of predicting titanium's performance in commercial exhaust systems.
