Schafer Corporation announced the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded Schafer a three-year task order valued at up to $90 million to provide Scientific Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). Through this effort Schafer will provide technical and operational expertise to DNDO and its broad network of Federal, State, Local, Tribal and Territorial partners, helping design, build and enhance the Nation’s radiological and nuclear detection capabilities. These efforts are critical to preventing an act of radiological or nuclear terrorism.
Schafer Corporation Awards Five-Year Contract for $23.5 Million

Schafer Corporation announced it has been awarded a five-year contract for $23.5 million to provide system development support and technical and operational integration support to the joint Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)/US Navy Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) Deployment Office (LDO). Schafer has been working with DARPA for 26 years, and has supported the LRASM program since 2008. Schafer will assist the LDO with advanced weapons system development, planning and platform integration, as well as programmatic expertise in the acquisition, testing and deployment of LRASM. The LRASM weapon system has already demonstrated its superior capabilities under DARPA’s management. Based on these successes, LRASM is being pursued as an urgent operational requirement. The LRASM program is beginning to transition from DARPA to the US Navy.
The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office Extends its Contract with Schafer Corp. for Support Services

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has extended by three months its contract with Schafer Corp. to provide Science, Engineering, and Technical Assistance support services. The value of the current contract, which was awarded in 2012, was $5 million. DNDO is recompeting the contract, which expires in July following the three-month extension.
