Glen-Gery Expands Black Brick Product Offering
Aug 3 16
Glen-Gery is prepared to offer architects and designers several options to meet design and structural requirements. The company offers more than a dozen black clay brick products in a range of sizes from its various manufacturing plants across the United States, making it more attainable and more affordable than ever before. These products, along with nearly all Glen-Gery products are also available as thin brick. The most recent addition to the black product line comes from the Redfield Plant, located in Redfield Iowa. The product, coined Carbon Black for its shiny, iridescent finish is currently available in two sizes: Modular (3-5/8 x 2/14 x 7-5/8) and Utility (3-5/8 x 3-5/8 x 11-5/8). The dynamic black product offering ranges from the shiny, iridescent finish of Carbon Black, to matte black of the Charcoal (K13-3063) and glossy finish on the Black glazed brick (G701). Other surface textures include traditional smooth faces and rough wirecut products. The use of black brick in commercial architecture has evolved from what was once only an accent brick to now what architects and designers are requesting as the primary color of choice for full projects.
