Procera Networks, Inc. Key Developments

Procera Networks, Inc. Secures an Initial Multi-Million Dollar Analytics and Traffic Management Deployment

Procera Networks, Inc. has secured an initial multi-million dollar analytics and traffic management deployment with a tier one South American cable operator. This latest development marks the third tier one deployment in the region for Procera, and the fifth new tier one operator customer to be secured in recent months across EMEA, the US, and APAC. The South American cable operator is replacing its existing DPI platform with Procera's technology to ensure its network can keep pace with the growth in bandwidth usage sparked by subscribers in recent months. Over 60% of traffic on the operator's network is streaming video, and it expects this figure to rise even further in the coming years.

Procera Networks Wins Multi-Million Dollar Analytics Order from Tier 1 EMEA Fixed-Line Operator

Procera Networks announced a multi-million dollar analytics deployment with a tier one EMEA fixed-line operator. The operator will gain a previously unseen view of network and subscriber performance, including encrypted traffic, and the ability to truly differentiate their broadband services against the competition based on a better understanding of subscriber usage. The tier one operator is introducing a new Big Data system, powered by 60 units of Procera's PacketLogic 9420 real-time policy enforcement and intelligence gathering platform deployed across the network. The operator also signed up for 20 million subscriber licenses to complement its investment into Procera's PacketLogic technology. Together, this will ensure visibility of the consistent stream of real-time network usage data required to significantly improve the subscriber experience and gain the insights needed to better identify where the network is capable of outperforming other players. Given the volume of data on modern mobile networks the emphasis for operators has shifted from quantity to quality of data, causing network and subscriber analytics to become a major driver in operator spending as a result. Operators are increasingly choosing Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions to provide these data feeds, not least because this technology is capable of keeping up with the rising amount of encrypted data on networks that can only be reliably identified using the latest application identification technology. Procera continues to gain marketshare as a result. The company was chosen over its competitors due to the unrivaled breadth of intelligence capable of being streamed in real-time from its PacketLogic technology – Procera's technology does not rely on sampling traffic, unlike competing solutions, but instead inspects and streams all traffic as it crosses the network.

Dave Stevens Joins Procera Networks' Board of Directors

Procera Networks, Inc. announced the appointment of Dave Stevens to the company's board of directors. Stevens, a co-founder and former CEO of Palo Alto Networks, also serves as a key investor and advisor to Trustwave Holdings, FreshFeed, and vArmour. Stevens brings over two decades of technical and leadership experience to Procera.
