American Petroleum Institute Promotes Steve Dodge to Executive Director of Massachusetts Petroleum Council

The American Petroleum Institute announced that Steve Dodge has been promoted to executive director of the Massachusetts Petroleum Council (MPC); Dodge had previously served as associate director of MPC. Steve Dodge joined the Massachusetts Petroleum Council, a division of API, in November 1997 as an associate
director, responsible for lobbying activities throughout New England. Prior to joining API in 1997, Steve Dodge served from 1993 to 1997 as Legislative Director for Govs. Weld and Cellucci. Dodge also served as Assistant Director of Technical Services for the state's Division of Local Services under the Department of Revenue. Before joining state government in 1985, Steve served as a news anchor and reporter for radio station WTAG in Worcester where he covered local news and anchored several talk programs.

The American Petroleum Institute announced the establishment of a Colorado Petroleum Council that will focus on energy priorities in the state, including hydraulic fracturing and energy infrastructure, as the state seeks to create jobs, generate more revenue to the government, and produce more domestic energy. API also has hired Tracee Bentley, a former Colorado state official, to lead APIs new office as executive director. Bentley most recently served in the office of Governor John Hickenlooper as legislative director and as a senior advisor on energy and agricultural issues.

American Petroleum Institute Inc. appointed Stacy Linden as a general counsel for the association effective immediately. Stacy Linden joined API in 2007 and has served as managing counsel for legal affairs at API since late 2009, providing litigation counsel, advice on political and regulatory compliance issues, and legal strategy for the oil and gas sector. Immediately preceding her tenure at API, Ms. Linden served as a litigation associate for several D.C.-area law firms, including Hogan Lovells, Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft, and Jones Day; she also clerked for the Honorable Glenn T. Harrell, Jr. of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
