Ruder Finn Launches RiskSTAT Reputation Risk Management System

Ruder Finn launched its new RiskSTAT reputation risk management system to help corporations rapidly enhance their level of preparedness in the face of evolving risks to share price, revenues and reputation. RiskSTAT is a secure, cloud-based resource that allows organizations to identify potential risks in real time, assess and predict their potential impact, and facilitate a fast, seamless response. RiskSTAT has three tiers of activation. First, Ruder Finn customizes risk management protocols based on client needs, identifying obvious and non-obvious reputation risks with associated decision-making and response guidelines. Second, the customized protocols are integrated into a dedicated client smartphone App (iOS and Android) that allows users to produce real-time reports and send images, video and other relevant materials from the field to designated crisis team members. User-friendly, intuitive and secure, the RiskSTAT App allows data-gathering from anywhere in an organization with immediate situational review and decision-making by the central risk management team. Cloud-based, with secure, end-to-end encryption, the RiskSTAT App ensures issues, developments, decisions and communications are dynamically updated for the crisis team, removing the need for outdated, paper-based manuals.

David Brooks Joins Ruder Finn's U.S. Healthcare Practice as Senior Vice President of Digital and Social Health

Ruder Finn, Inc. announced that David Brooks has joined the firm's U.S. Healthcare Practice as Senior Vice President of Digital and Social Health. Brooks brings 20 years of experience in creating and managing impactful digital and social programs to pharmaceutical, technology and consumer goods companies worldwide. He will be based out of Ruder Finn's New York headquarters and report to Sally Ann Barton, Head of the U.S. Healthcare Practice. Brooks joins Ruder Finn from Ogilvy Public Relations, where he served as SVP, Digital & Social Strategy. Prior to Ogilvy PR, Brooks was Director of Digital Strategy at Burson-Marsteller. Brooks will be responsible for developing digital, social and content strategies in healthcare and will apply his extensive corporate communications and tech experience to all the firm's clients. In this role, he will build on the success of current client offerings in medical technology, expanding capabilities in biotechnology and life sciences.

Ruder Finn Appoints James Walker as Group Vice President, Social Engagement & Digital Content

Ruder Finn announced that James Walker has joined the firm's U.S. Corporate Practice as Group Vice President of Social Engagement & Digital Content. Walker will lead social engagement and digital content strategies designed to enhance corporate reputation, raise senior executive visibility, build influencer and stakeholder engagement, and manage crisis and issues communications for agency clients. He brings broad expertise in digital analytics, digital infrastructure development, community/channel management and paid media placement to the role.  Walker will report to Keith Hughes, EVP, Head of Ruder Finn's U.S. Corporate Practice and closely collaborate with Ruder Finn's in-house, award-wining digital practice, RFI Studios. Prior to joining Ruder Finn, Walker was Vice President, Digital & Corporate at Cohn & Wolfe, where he led social/digital strategy development and execution for the New York corporate practice. Prior to that, Walker served as the Global Digital Marketing Manager at the Nature Conservancy, where he focused on digital fundraising, engagement and issues advocacy campaigns.
