Becker joined the Bank in October 2012 with an extensive background in internal audit, ethics, and regulatory compliance within the Financial Services industry. Steven W. Washington Trust to Open a New Branch in Rumford, RI in the First Quarter of 2015

Washington Trust to open a new branch, located at 330 Newport Avenue in Rumford, RI in the first quarter of 2015. The Rumford branch will be Washington Trust’s second East Providence location; the bank currently has an office at 587 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, RI. Upon the Rumford opening, Washington Trust will have 19 branches throughout Rhode Island and one in Mystic, CT. The new Rumford branch will offer a number of services catering to the unique banking needs of each and every customer. With convenience at the heart of its design, the new branch will consist of a spacious 3,400 square-foot interior that will serve customers through four teller stations including one handicap-accessible station. Other features within the branch include safety deposit service and a walk-up ATM. Outside the branch, a drive-up banking lane and drive-up ATM will serve customers on the go while a night deposit will cater to small business customers. Supporting the branch, a team of Washington Trust professionals will maintain the tradition of friendly, personal care and service that has made Washington Trust Rhode Island’s bank of choice for more than 214 years.
