LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) announced that Laura Bray has been hired as the new executive director for the Milwaukee office. Bray has a 20 year career in community and economic development, and served as the executive director for Menomonee Valley Partners Inc. from 2004-2014. Laura Bray follows Leo J. Ries who served as LISC's executive director from 2000-2015.

Terry Benelli, a veteran community development leader, will be the new executive director of the Local Initiatives Support Corp.'s (LISC) Phoenix program. Benelli comes to LISC from the Neighborhood Economic Development Corp. (NEDCO), where she served as executive director for seven years. Benelli has served on the boards of the Arizona Micro Enterprise Alliance, the Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force and the Downtown Mesa Urban Summit, among others civic groups. Benelli succeeds Teresa Brice, a dynamo in the Phoenix community development world for 35 years. Brice is retiring at year's end. When Benelli steps into her new role on January 1,2015, she will assume direction of transit-oriented development programming and advance the goals of reducing transportation costs, improving air quality, and increasing economic competitiveness and building livable communities.

Sam Marks, a national leader in philanthropy and social investment, is the new executive director of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation's (LISC's) New York City program. Marks comes to LISC New York City from Deutsche Bank, where he served as vice president of both the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation and the bank's Global Social Finance group. He succeeds Denise Scott, LISC New York City's long-time leader and a central figure in New York community development for more than two decades. Scott was promoted to LISC executive vice president in charge of local programs in 30 urban areas across the country as well as LISC's rural development work in 39 states.
