As director of the quality enhancement plan, he will oversee NCCU's reaffirmation process by the Southern Association of College and Schools (SACS) with an emphasis on enhancing the writing, speaking and presentation skills of all NCCU students. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, he has served in faculty and administrative positions at Saint Augustine's University, Voorhees College, Bennett College, North Carolina Central University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Oita Coleman - Coleman is Vice President of Research and Development for the QUEST Division at SAS Institute in Cary. She has held that position since April 2014 and has been with the company for over 30 years. In addition, she is active with several community groups such as the Business Advisory Board for Wake NCSU STEM Early College High, UNCG School of the Arts Advancement Council and Habitat for Humanity. Dr. John McCubbins (Collegeville, Pa.) - Dr. McCubbins is the Senior Vice President for Global Animal Health Manufacturing at Merck and Co. Inc. He has held that role since 2011 and been with the company since 1989. The board promotes the sound development of the institution within the functions prescribed for it, helps it to serve the state in a way that will complement the activities of other institutions and aids it to perform at a high level of excellence in every area of endeavor.
