Texas Department of Transportation Awards Contract to Austin Bridge and Road, LP for Dallas County Projects

In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways and address congestion, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) approved four contracts in Dallas County including a project to build a two-lane westbound frontage road on I-30 between Cockrell Hill Road and Westmoreland Road in Dallas. The contract was awarded to Austin Bridge and Road, LP for $9.8 million. Construction start date will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractors.

Austin Bridge and Angel Brothers Announce First ESR2P Project

Austin Bridge & Road, Inc. and Angel Brothers Enterprises, Ltd. have broken ground on the first project in the Energy Sector Roadway Repair Project, or ESR2P. The $150 million ESR2P program involves the reconstruction, rehabilitation and repair of roadways and bridges within the Texas state highway system that have been damaged by oversized vehicles and over- weight loads used in the development of the Eagle Ford Shale. The scope of work includes project management, construction and maintenance of up to 31 separate projects spread across 11 counties in South Texas - from north of Laredo to east of Corpus Christi. The Austin-Angel team will reconstruct or resurface roadways and bridges in most need of restoration.

Austin Bridge & Road Wins $23 Million TxDOT Contract in Texas

Austin Bridge & Road, Inc. has won a $23 million TxDOT contract in Kaufman, Texas, which will begin around August 2014. The two-year project involves building new right-of-way on SH 34 and reconstructing ramps and frontage roads along US 175. During construction, the job will require 10,000 square yards of concrete paving, 30,000 tons of hot mix paving, 170,000 cubic yards of embankment and 55,000 cubic yards of excavation. Additionally, the project includes building a bridge over US 175.
