Xavier University Names Tony Moore as New Vice President for Technology Administration

Xavier University named Tony Moore as a new Vice President for Technology Administration. Tony Moore will head up the department that leads information-technology support for the campus. Moore has 20 years of experience in IT systems and most recently worked for four years at Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he was vice president for information and technology management. As a member of the administrative staff, Moore will serve as Chief Information Officer and will be responsible for the Information Technology Center and the Office of Technology Administration. Moore will start at Xavier in April.

Steve Millard, president and chief executive officer of Kognitio, has been named to the board of the Center for Veterans Affairs at Cincinnati's Xavier University. Xavier's Veteran Affairs Center provides returning military veterans a safe, studious, and recreational setting. The Center has multiple resources available to both veterans and dependents such as financial aid, career planning, and both personal and professional assistance such as psychologists, lawyers, and mentorship programs. Xavier's Veteran Affairs Center strives to create an open, friendly space in which veterans feel welcomed and provide guidance necessary to ensure a smooth transition back to school.
Xavier University Restructures Undergraduate College

Xavier University has reorganized its College of Arts and Sciences to increase efficiency. The change will not affect any student's degree program. The change took effect July 1. Instead of 17 departments and two divisions, the restructured college has six divisions, said Loren Blanchard, Xavier's provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.
