Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. Announces Enhanced Epic Interface Solution
Dec 11 14
Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. announced an enhanced interface for managing output from Epic healthcare applications. The new VPSX/EI (Epic Interface) solution provides a simplified GUI-based administration interface, superior performance, and improved supportability. This enhanced interface is available at no charge for VPSX customers currently running previous versions of LRS' Epic print solution. The new VPSX/EI solution runs as a single executable, replacing the multiple modules of the first-generation Epic interface, for improved I/O performance. Graphical configuration screens streamline the process of installing and configuring the solution, and custom processing will be provided through easily maintained plug-ins. A major benefit is in the area of memory management when previewing large Release of Information (ROI) files from Epic. Improved memory management allows the new solution to lower the RAM utilization during an ROI preview job by several GB - thus improving throughput and lowering server RAM requirements.
Levi Ray & Shoup, Inc. Announces New Product Designed to Improve Printing in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Environments
Aug 12 14
Levi Ray & Shoup, Inc.(LRS) is announcing a new product designed to improve printing in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments. The Virtual Session Printer Agent for VPSX (VSPA) product extends the capabilities of the LRS Enterprise Output Server to companies implementing VDI solutions across their networks. The new solution lets IT staff associate users, printers and terminals in an intelligent manner, ensuring that these definitions are persistent across virtual desktop sessions. In addition to making VDI more transparent to users, VSPA software also facilitates location-based printing so users can conveniently access printers near a given terminal. It supports any terminal hardware platform, giving customers greater flexibility without additional complexity. IT administrators can use a simple web-based interface to configure and maintain their VDI print environments.
Levi Ray & Shoup, Inc. Announces New Version of MFPsecure Pull Printing Software
Jun 20 14
Levi Ray & Shoup, Inc. announced a new version of its MFPsecure(R) pull printing software. The MFPsecure for Ricoh offering is an embedded software agent that runs natively on modern Ricoh(R) multifunction print devices (MFPs). The MFPsecure for Ricoh software leverages the touchscreen interface on most recent Ricoh devices to let users selectively print queued documents from the robust LRS(R) Enterprise Output Server. Instead of submitting print jobs directly to a printer, users print to a secure personal print queue. Users can retrieve queued documents by walking up to any defined MFP and authenticating via login, Personal Identification Code or swiping a proximity card over an RFID sensor. This eliminates the problem of sensitive documents sitting unsecured in a printer output tray and can reduce the overall amount of printing in an organization.
