After more than five decades of service to the Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA), Marshal L. Cole, Esq. announced his retirement as General Counsel on October 29, 2015. Marshal is a graduate of Yale University and Georgetown Law Center. His education was then followed by a three-year tour as an officer in the USAF. He then joined the District of Columbia general and federal regulatory law practice of Wilner & Scheiner. In June 1990, when his senior partner, Mort Wilner, Esq., retired, Marshal was appointed AFBA's General Counsel.

Hoover comes to AFBA from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children where she served as Vice President of Human Resources. She joined NCMEC in 2000 after many years of experience in all areas of human resources.

Armed Forces Benefit Association announced the election of SMA Kenneth O. Preston, USA (Ret.) and CMSAF James A. Roy, USAF (Ret.) to the AFBA Board of Directors effective June 1, 2014. Sergeant Major Preston served for over 36 years in every enlisted leadership position to his final position as Sergeant Major of the Army. Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF) Roy is the 16th CMSAF where he served as the personal adviser to the Secretary and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force on all issues regarding the enlisted force. He is currently Senior Program Manager for Scientific Research Corporation.
