Koito Manufacturing Co. Ltd. announced that a lawsuit was filed against the company and its U.S. subsidiary North American Lighting, Inc. at the superior court of Justice in Ontario, Canada. The plaints filed the lawsuit against Koito Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and North American Lighting, Inc. on behalf of persons that had directly or indirectly purchased automotive lights provided by the defendants, claiming among other things, that the defendants had conspired and engaged in adjustment actions regarding automotive lights. In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs claim damages in the amount of CAD 55,000,000.
