Catholic University of America Hires Christopher P. Lydon as New Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, Effective June 22, 2015

President John Garvey announced that the Catholic University of America has hired Christopher P. Lydon as the new Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, effective June 22, 2015. Mr. Lydon is currently Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., where since 2011 he has overseen a division of 33 full-time employees in the offices of admission, student financial assistance, and marketing. Lydon has nearly 32 years of professional experience in Catholic higher education admission and enrollment management. Before joining Stonehill, he was Associate Vice President for Enrollment Planning/Dean of Admission at Providence College in Rhode Island (1997-2011). His other positions in higher education have included Director of Admission and Financial Aid at La Salle University (1994-1997), Director of Admission and Financial Aid at University of Dallas (1992-1994), Director of Enrollment Management at Anna Maria College (1988-1992), and Assistant Director of Admission at Providence College (1986-1988). He joined the staff at Providence College as an admission counselor in 1983.

Catholic University of America Hires Scott P. Rembold as New Vice President for University Advancement, Effective June 24, 2015

President John Garvey announced that the Catholic University of America has hired Scott P. Rembold as the new Vice President for University Advancement, effective June 24, 2015. Mr. Rembold has 27 years of professional advancement experience, 13 of which have been at The Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Since April 2007 he has served as JHUs Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations. In that role he has overseen the development and alumni relations programs of 10 university divisions, generating between $100 million and $150 million in gifts and commitments annually. He was instrumental in JHUs successful conclusion of its Knowledge for the World Campaign, which raised $3.74 billion from 2000 to 2008. He has been part of the leadership team that conceptualized, launched, and is managing the current Rising to the Challenge campaign, which has raised $3 billion of its $4.5 billion goal since it began in 2010. Rembolds previous positions at JHU have included Interim Associate Vice President for Principal Gifts, Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and Director of Development at SAIS. As the new Vice President for University Advancement, Rembold will provide overall leadership and direction for annual giving, major and planned giving, corporate and foundation giving, alumni and parent relations, donor relations and stewardship, gift processing and acknowledgement, and special events.
