Siena College Appoints Fr. Edward Coughlin as President

Siena College announced that Fr. Edward Coughlin will be the 11th President of the private Catholic college in Albany. He has twice been Director of St. Bonaventure's Franciscan Institute. He was appointed Interim President of Siena in June 2014, following the resignation of Fr. Kevin Mullen. He's also been serving as a Siena trustee and Vice President for Franciscan mission at St. Bonaventure.

Siena College Announces Executive Change

The top academic administrator at Siena College will retire next summer after serving for a dozen years as vice president for academic affairs at the private, liberal arts college in Loundonville, New York. Linda Richardson will leave her position next August. She has been a member of the faculty since 1991. College president Father Kevin Mullen is leaving the college this week to become provincial minister of Holy Name Province. Trustee Father Edward Coughlin will serve as interim president.

Siena College Names Father Edward Coughlin as Interim President to Replace Father Kevin Mullen

Siena College announced that Father Edward Coughlin will serve as interim president when Father Kevin Mullen steps down in August, 2014 to lead the large Franciscan community in the U.S. Mullen announced that he had been elected to a six-year term as provincial minister of Holy Name Province. Coughlin is currently the vice president for Franciscan mission at St. Bonaventure University, a private college in Cattaraugus County in western New York.
