TMC President and Chief Executive Officer Charlie Shields announced he has named Nancy Lewis as Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. Nancy Lewis has more than 20 years of public relations, marketing and media experience. Prior to joining TMC, she most recently served as Director of Public Relations and Communication for the Independence School District. In that role, she worked hand in hand with the superintendent to achieve strategic goals for district improvement. She oversaw all internal and external communication and worked on communitywide projects including a dental program with TMC Lakewood.

Truman Medical Centers announced that it has appointed Amy Peters as chief nursing officer and Lynette Wheeler as the company Lakewood's new chief operating officer. Peters previously was serving as interim COO and associate chief nursing officer at TMC Lakewood. She has worked at Truman since 1994 and will take over as chief nursing officer February 2, 2015. Lynette Wheeler, who has served as chief nursing officer since 2011, will take over as COO at TMC Lakewood that same day. Wheeler became chief nursing officer at Truman in 2011 after serving as vice president of cardiopulmonary vascular services at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
