Citizens Energy Group announced the retirement of Carey Lykins as president and CEO, on June 30, 2015. The board also announced it has selected Jeff Harrison to succeed Lykins as President & CEO effective on July 1, 2015. In the interim, Harrison will serve as Executive vice president & COO. 28, 2014. Sutherland comes to Citizens from Utilitus LLC where he served as President and Managing Director. In his new role, Sutherland will be responsible for developing effective relationships and communicating with state and local elected officials and other key stakeholders. Sutherland has more than 19 years of experience in all aspects of state utility regulation. Prior to his work with Utilitus, Sutherland had a 17-year career at the
Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission where he served in positions of increasing responsibility including COO
and Executive Director for Governmental Affairs.
