Duquesne University has hired Michael Bridges as executive director of online learning and strategy, effective Aug. 1. In the newly created position, Bridges will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for Duquesne's online programs in all disciplines. He is tasked with working collaboratively with the deans of Duquesne's nine schools as well as with administrators and staff in the Department of Computing & Technology Services to devise and implement a creative approach to online learning that reflects best practices in higher education. He will report to Alexandra Gregory, associate provost for academic affairs. Bridges is currently executive director of education for Amber-Allen Publishing.
