The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Gary G. Terrinoni as the hospital’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Terrinoni is presently Executive Vice President of Administration (COO) and Chief Financial Officer of Kennedy Health System. The System, located in Voorhees, New Jersey, includes three acute care hospitals. Mr. Terrinoni’s appointment is the result of a nationwide search for a successor to Dr. Richard B. Becker, who stepped down in March. Mr. Terrinoni will begin at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in November.

The Brooklyn Hospital Center's Board of Trustees has appointed trustee Jonathan M. Weld as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2015. Mr. Weld will serve while the board continues its national search for a successor to departing CEO Dr. Richard B. Becker. Mr. Weld was Chairman of TBHC’s Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2010 and will take a leave of absence from his trustee position while serving as acting CEO. In addition to being a member of the TBHC Board of Trustees, Jonathan Weld has been with corporate law firm Shearman and Sterling since 1967. He became a partner in 1976 and was made Of Counsel at the firm in 2007. Weld has lived in Brooklyn since the 1960s and is President of St. Ann’s School, Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Chairman of the Board of The Evergreens Cemetery.
