ALDI Inc. Unveils $1.6 Billion Nationwide Store Remodel Plan to Enhance Customer Shopping Experience

ALDI announced an aggressive $1.6 billion investment in its stores, with an extensive plan to remodel and expand more than 1,300 US stores by 2020. The new ALDI store look delivers on its customers' desire for a modern and convenient shopping experience with a focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections. Remodeled stores will also feature a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials – such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.

Aldi to Open at Former American TV Location in Brown Deer Later in October

Aldi has announced that it has set the opening date for its latest location in Brown Deer. The store, 6720 W. Brown Deer Road, will open on Oct. 27. It replaces the Aldi location less than a mile away at 8080 W. Brown Deer Road, which will close on Oct. 26. The new location is located on a piece of the land that was formerly home to the American TV & Appliance store near Northridge Mall.

ALDI Quickly Grows California Footprint, Opening Stores in San Diego, Kern and Imperial Counties

ALDI will successfully take its California footprint from zero to 25 stores in less than three months with the opening of seven new locations on May 19, 2016. ALDI will open its newest stores in San Diego, Kern and Imperial counties. The company plans to operate approximately 45 California stores by the end of 2016, and more than 2,000 stores nationwide by the end of 2018. Currently, the grocer operates more than 1,500 stores in 33 states and serves 30 million customers each month.
