University Of Idaho Key Developments

University of Idaho Opens Doceo Center Lab

University Of Idaho Doceo Center for Innovation + Learning is opening on April 4 and a public open house. The center is located in the lower level of the Student Union building at 709 Deakin Ave. The opening of the Doceo Center Lab is an exciting step forward, allowing the university to take a more active role in improving and supporting teaching and learning with technology in K-12 schools. The Doceo Center was created through a $5 million J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation grant to establish two centers at UI and Northwest Nazarene University, with $3 million going to UI.

University of Idaho Names Chuck Staben as President, Effective March 1, 2014

Idaho State Board of Education named Chuck Staben, provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of South Dakota as University of Idaho 's newest president. Staben will officially start his new role on March 1, 2014. Don Burnett, formerly the head of University of Idaho's College of Law, will continue to serve as the university's interim president until then.

University of Idaho Announces Executive Changes

Steven Neiheisel, assistant vice president for enrollment management, will be leaving the University of Idaho at the end of the month. Jeffrey Dodge has agreed to take on interim leadership with the core directors in the enrollment management unit. He will begin his appointment Oct. 27, 2013.
