Seton Healthcare Family Announces Board Appointments

Seton Healthcare Family has announced that Donna Budak has been named executive director of The Seton Fund and will continue in her role as executive director of the Seton Williamson Foundation. Budak will oversee fundraising for the fund's support of Seton Medical Center Austin, Seton League House, Seton Shoal Creek Hospital, three Seton community health centers and various other Seton initiatives. Budak was director of major gifts and planned giving for the $86 million campaign to build and equip Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, and previously was the director of annual giving and director of development at Ballet Austin. Linda Lotz will serve as executive director of Seton Hays Foundation and lead fundraising efforts in support of Seton Medical Center Hays, Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital and Seton Smithville Regional Hospital. While working with the Seton Foundation she helped raise more than $9 million in support of Seton Austin projects, most notably the successful completion of the campaign to build and equip the new Seton Breast Care Center. Charles Scarborough is the new executive director of the $50 million capital campaign toward the Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas.
Seton Healthcare Family Appoints Alan Strauss as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Seton Healthcare Family announced that it has named Alan Strauss as its new senior vice president and chief financial officer. He starts the job on November 1, 2014 and comes to the company from Carondelet Health Network. Strauss will continue as the CFO of Carondelet until that company completes an organizational transaction with Tenet Healthcare Corp. He will travel between Texas and Arizona during that transition. He previously served as CFO for the five-hospital Saint Thomas Health ministry in Nashville, where he built a track record in business development, strategic planning and portfolio management.
