Wunderman Announces Executive Changes

Wunderman announced that Caspar Schlickum has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer for the Asia-Pacific region, beginning in September. Schlickum joins Wunderman from Xaxis, where he served as CEO for the EMEA region. Schlickum will oversee Wunderman's Asia-Pacific operations, which together employ some 1,000 people across 28 offices in 14 countries, and will be responsible for developing and expanding the agency's offering and role with a particular emphasis on digital and data-driven marketing. Schlickum succeeds Martin Conneen who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities. Conneen worked with Wunderman for a decade and served as President of Asia-Pacific for two years. Most recently, he was part of the founding team and led the growth and strategic development of the Xaxis business as CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined Xaxis having spent four years at Mindshare as a global client lead, and one year within Kantar, WPP's data investment management group. Prior to joining WPP in 2005, he was Vice President in Investment Banking for Deutsche Bank based in Sydney, Australia, where he worked across the APAC region.

Marketo, Inc. and Wunderman Partner to Deliver Insight-Driven Engagement for Brands

Marketo, Inc. and Wunderman announced a strategic partnership designed to put data and measurement behind every customer interaction, a solution jointly called 'insight-driven engagement.' The alliance combines Marketo's engagement marketing platform and measurement capabilities with Wunderman's strengths in creative execution, global strategy, data, and analytics. The alliance was created in response to digital landscape in which marketers have assumed a powerful new position as the steward of the customer. By joining Marketo's platform, which includes marketing automation and marketing management applications, with Wunderman's comprehensive approach to data-driven insights and engagement, brands can now engage customers in a cohesive way across all digital channels and measure how their marketing spend drives revenue. Through the partnership, brands that leverage Wunderman's full suite of services will now also be able to execute, track, and optimize their campaigns through Marketo. The partnership will allow Wunderman to deploy applications across the Marketo marketing platform, including access to Wunderman's global data (containing over 890 million consumer profiles), which will enable the creation and delivery of real-time integration with Wunderman's proprietary data management platform, Zipline.

Wunderman Appoints Judy Jackson as Global Chief Talent Officer

Wunderman announced the appointment of Judy Jackson as Global Chief Talent Officer. Reporting to Mark Read, the company’s Global CEO, Jackson will lead the agency's global talent group and focus on recruiting, developing and retaining the best creative, data and strategic talent around the world. Jackson rejoins the company from IPG Mediabrands where she served as Chief Talent Officer for North America and was responsible for building up the HR capability encompassing the full talent suite of Recruiting, Compensation, HRIS, Learning, Development, Diversity and Inclusion. Jackson also led talent programs and new initiatives across all brands including UM, Initiative, Orion, and more. Prior to IPG Mediabrands, Jackson was Chief Talent Officer for Digitas Worldwide, where, among her many accomplishments, she drove its Diversity and Inclusion Program and earned the agency over 20 Best Places to Work recognitions.
