Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) and its mobile subsidiary Smart Communications Inc. have expanded their multi-year, multi-platform partnership with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia by offering Disney online games and e-books to subscribers of its home digital services unit. PLDT said its group has expanded its partnership with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, through its digital entertainment arm Disney Interactive, by offering Disney content to their combined over 75 million mobile and broadband subscribers nationwide. They can purchase the games using their prepaid credits or charge it on top of their postpaid bills. With the expanded partnership, the company will now allows PLDT HOME subscribers to access over 300 online games through the Disney Portal, which will be hosted in the PLDT HOME Web site. PLDT said its HOME subscribers can purchase limited edition Telpad skins featuring Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Cinderella and the Avengers, among others. They will also be able to access games and e-books when they subscribe to the Disney package.

The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia or TWDC SEA, and StarHub Limited, have announced the launch a new mobile video streaming service via a suite of three new entertainment apps, WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD, and WATCH Disney Junior. The WATCH Disney apps will provide authenticated StarHub TV customers with access to Disney Channel's existing live, television network streams, exclusive and first-hand content, as well as an extensive offering of premiere on demand episodes. Disney fans can now view all popular Disney television series such as Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb, Disney Junior's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Disney XD's Avengers Assemble on the go and will also be able to access new episodes of selected shows on the WATCH apps first before it launches on the TV channel. At launch, Disney Channel original animation Wander over Yonder, created by award-winning animator Craig McCracken, will be available first on the WATCH Disney Channel app before its television premiere. New live-action series Mighty Med, a Disney XD original series will be available exclusively on the WATCH Disney XD app in February 2014. The free WATCH Disney apps feature a fun and engaging online Disney environment, designed around Disney characters and custom animation on a simple, child-friendly user interface. Apart from streaming of live TV channels and on-demand content, there's also the episodes catch-up function. Kids and their families will have language options and can choose to watch Disney programmes in English, Mandarin or Malay. StarHub TV customers who subscribe to Disney Channel (StarHub TV Channel 312), Disney XD (StarHub TV Channel 310) and Disney Junior (StarHub TV Channel 311) on the Kids Basic Tier can now stream these channels live on the multiscreen service StarHub TV Anywhere which includes the WATCH Disney Apps on iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Users simply need to register with a StarHub Hub ID and password for immediate authentication to allow them access to all their favorite Disney programs. Meanwhile, non-authenticated users will still be able to download the WATCH apps to access selected content and a limited number of on demand episodes each month.
