Vello A. Kuuskraa, President of Advanced Resources International Inc., was appointed to the University of Wyoming's Energy Resources Council by the State of Wyoming's Governor Matthew H. Mead. Mr. Kuuskraa has over 40 years of experience with oil and natural gas resources and extraction technologies. In addition to his new appointment, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Southwestern Energy Company, on the Board of Directors for Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA), and on the National Petroleum Council.
University of Wyoming Launches Major Initiative for $44 Million High Altitude Performance Center

The University of Wyoming unveiled plans for a $44 million renovation and expansion that will triple the size of Rochelle Athletics Center. This major new addition will be called the High Altitude Performance Center. The High Altitude Performance Center will be funded by a $24 million private support campaign and a $20 million state of Wyoming matching program. This public-private partnership will expand the current 48,000-square-foot Rochelle Athletics Center into a 126,000-square-foot premier collegiate athletics complex, solidifying Wyoming's reputation as a state committed to excellence - producing student-athletes who succeed in the classroom, compete at the high level on the field and define a lasting legacy for the state. The expansion will create a stunning presence 50 feet from the north end of the War Memorial Stadium playing field. It will incorporate architectural styling inspired by UW's historic sandstone buildings.

The University of Wyoming announced that Eric Webb is the interim Executive Director of Residence Life, Dining and the Wyoming Union, replacing Patrick Call, who accepted a position at the University of Denver. Kathy Bobbitt was named interim Student Financial Aid Director, replacing the retiring Joanna Carter. Bobbitt, Associate Director for federal programs, has served at Student Financial Aid since 1990.
