Tami Benham Deal, University of Wyoming Division of Kinesiology and Health professor, has been appointed as University of Wyoming interim associate vice president for academic personnel. She replaces David Jones, who is the Academic Affairs interim vice president. Benham Deal's appointment runs September 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. Benham Deal currently serves as the associate dean of academic affairs for the College of Health Sciences.

University of Wyoming Board of Trustees Approved the appointment of Robert Sternberg as president. He also will hold tenure at the rank of professor in the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences and a secondary appointment in the Department of Professional Studies in the College of Education. Since 2010, he has served as provost and senior vice president; Regents Professor of Psychology and Education; and the George Kaiser Family Foundation Chair in Ethical Leadership at Oklahoma State University. Prior to that appointment, he held administrative and faculty positions at Tufts University and Yale University. The company also approved the appointment of Tara Evans as deputy general counsel. She served as a judicial clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, D.C., and as an assistant attorney general for the Wyoming Attorney General's Office in Cheyenne. Evans has served as associate general counsel at UW since 2010. Prior to that, she served as special assistant to the president; Beth Robitalle, as director with the Family Medicine Residency Program in Casper; and Anne M. Alexander as associate dean of the Outreach School; she retrains her appointment as International Programs director. Retirements were approved for Susan Weidel, general counsel, and Rodney Lang, deputy general counsel.
