Orange County Technology Action Network Appoints Bill Carpou as President and CEO, Effective March 30, 2015

The Orange County Technology Action Network (OCTANe) announced that Bill Carpou has been selected as the next President and CEO of OCTANe. Carpou will be integral in helping OCTANe to connect people and resources to drive technology industry growth enabling new company creation and new jobs in Orange County. Carpou joins OCTANe after an accomplished career, most recently at Kaplan Performance Solutions; as Executive Vice President and Partner at RGIS; Profit Recovery Partners; and 18 years in a variety of senior executive positions with IKON Office Solutions. He will assume his full-time responsibilities on March 30, 2015.
OCTANe Announces Management Changes

OCTANe announced that Mr. Matthew Jenusaitis will be leaving his current position as the President and CEO, effective February 28, 2015. Jenusaitis has accepted a position within the University of California San Diego Healthcare System. Jenusaitis will remain on the company's Board of Directors Executive Committee and assist with the Committee's search for a new president and CEO. In the interim, Paul Symczak, current vice president of Entrepreneurship, will serve as interim executive director of the OCTANe Foundation for Innovation, which includes the organization's signature LaunchPad SBDC program that assists entrepreneurs. Current vice president of Operations Janelle Brunette will serve as interim executive director of OCTANe, overseeing OCTANe's conference and networking entities, which include its Signature Events and other programs. OCTANe Chairman David Perry of Orange County Law Firm K&L Gates will serve in an oversight role.
OCTANe Announces Board Changes

OCTANe announced the appointment of David Perry as non-executive chairman of the board. As chairman of the board, Mr. Perry will help guide OCTANe's vision to provide business leaders with a forum to make a lasting impact on the future of technology, life science, and sports technology industries in Orange County. David Perry replaces James McCluney, who served as chairman in 2014. David is the administrative partner for the K&L Gates Orange County office and serves on the Firmwide Management Committee.
