Kaiser Permanente Announces Significant Expansion Plans In Southern Colorado

Kaiser Permanente Colorado announced plans to expand and greatly enhance services and health plan offerings in Southern Colorado. Over the next few years, Kaiser Permanente will begin offering several specialty services at its medical offices in Southern Colorado and open its Briargate Medical Offices to all ages, removing the current 55 and older age restriction. The health plan will also pursue plans to open new medical offices in Colorado Springs by 2015 and develop a new suite of health insurance plans that will offer expanded coverage options at various price levels. Kaiser Permanente's Southern Colorado expansion plans will begin with specialty care services being offered in Colorado Springs. Allergy care is now available and other specialties, including pediatric care, dermatology, rheumatology and adult medical genetics, will be phased in later this year. Additional specialties will be introduced within the next few years. These specialty services are available to Kaiser Permanente members of all ages living in Southern Colorado.

Kaiser Permanente Colorado Announces Opening of Lone Tree Multi-Specialty Center

Kaiser Permanente Colorado announced that will open the doors to a brand new specialty center in Lone Tree on December 2nd. This is the large construction project and the most significant addition to the health plan's brick and mortar presence in Colorado in nearly a decade. The company membership in the area south of Denver has grown substantially over the last nine years. In fact, since 2010, membership statewide has grown 10.5% to more than 540,000, including 128,000 members from the South Metro Denver area. To better serve members close to home, the health plan has expanded primary care services to the area with new medical offices in Parker in 2009 and Castle Rock in 2011. This new Lone Tree multi-specialty center represents the next phase of this south Denver expansion of services bringing specialty care to the community. In addition to Lone Tree, Kaiser Permanente Colorado has a specialty center in downtown Denver on Franklin Street and another in Lafayette, which opened in 2005.
