Kaiser Permanente Colorado to Open New Medical Offices in Frisco

Kaiser Permanente Colorado announced the location of its first medical office building in Colorado's mountain communities. The new Kaiser Permanente Frisco medical offices will be conveniently located in the Basecamp retail center at 2260 Lusher Court-- just off I-70 and Route 9. Construction has begun on the new facility which will open to Kaiser Permanente members in January 2016. The Frisco medical offices will offer a variety of health care services under one roof, including primary care, laboratory and routine medical imaging. This is the health plan's first medical office building in the Colorado Mountain communities. Additional facilities, including medical offices in Eagle County are still in the planning stages. While specific staffing plans are still in the works, the new Frisco medical offices will employ a variety of health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, technicians and administrative staff. Kaiser Permanente's expansion to the mountain communities is expected to bring a healthy dose of local well-paying jobs to the region.
Kaiser Permanente Colorado Appoints Maureen McDonald as Senior Director

Kaiser Permanente Colorado announced that it has appointed Maureen McDonald as senior director of community benefit and relations. McDonald will lead the company’s community benefit activities, helping to fulfill the organization's mission of improving the health and vitality of Colorado communities. In this role, she will have responsibility for the company’s community benefit investments, including grantmaking to nonprofit organizations. McDonald previously served more than 12 years as executive director of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership foundation. She most recently served as director of development for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, securing resources to inspire curiosity and connect citizens to the natural world. She has served as a board member for the HCA-HealthONE Trustees, the Colorado Nonprofit Association, the Colorado Children's Chorale and the Colorado Women's Forum. In 2009, she was appointed by Gov. Bill Ritter to serve on the Commission on Community Service, was re-appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper in 2011 and served through 2012.
