Videology, Inc. Hires Mike Mecham to Lead Corporate Strategy and Development

Videology, Inc. announced that it has hired Mike Mecham for the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development, to help lead the company to its next phase of growth. Mecham will report into Videology’s President, Scott Macleod. In this new role, Mecham will work closely with the executive, finance and business development teams to help steer and execute against Videology’s strategic roadmap as the company’s technology offering, geographic footprint and client base continue to escalate. Prior to joining the company, Mecham spent 10 years at Google and YouTube. Most recently, he was the head of content commercialization for YouTube in Latin America. In addition to leading commercialization efforts for YouTube content, he also developed and managed strategic content partnerships for YouTube with TV and cable networks, TV and film producers, musical recording labels and collection societies, sports clubs and news organizations across Spanish-speaking Latin America.

Videa Partners with Videology to Offer Automated, Data-Enhanced Buying of Premium TV Content

Videa announced that it has entered into a multi-year partnership agreement with Videology to enable media buyers to programmatically plan, buy and report on television advertising. The Videology agreement will allow advertisers and agencies to work with Videa’s broadcast clients to optimize advertising campaigns, improve workflow efficiencies and utilize data-enhanced audience targeting to drive value and new demand for linear television. As consumer viewing shifts across devices, advertisers are increasingly interested in targeting viewers across devices using a common set of data and metrics to measure, optimize and improve returns. Offering premium TV content within a programmatic platform—which to date has been the most challenging inventory to access at scale—allows for true converged advertising across all screens. Videa has deep broadcast roots and, as a result, developed its technology for television, a much different approach than the digital RTB model. Videology developed its software for the demand-side with a similar focus, allowing users to programmatically plan and buy media in a forward-reserve manner, the way television has always been planned and bought.

Videology Appoints Robin Kingerlee as EMEA Media Director

Videology announced the expansion of its European leadership team with the appointment of Robin Kingerlee as EMEA Media Director. In response to Videology’s rapid European growth, the new role will be key in continuing the rapid growth and adoption of programmatic trading in the EMEA region via Videology’s platform and services. Robin brings to Videology more than nineteen years’ advertising experience, including fourteen years in online media. He joins Videology after eight years with Microsoft Advertising, where, most recently, he helped launch the Microsoft Exchange in the UK, spearheading the creation of Microsoft Video Network, and leading the company’s U.K. video strategy. Reporting to Jana Eisenstein, Videology’s Global Director of Media, Robin will be responsible for enhancing Videology’s leadership in Europe and accelerating the programmatic agenda across the EMEA region from the company’s European head office in London.
