Acosta Announces Management Changes

Acosta has appointed Steve Matthesen as President and Chief Executive Officer. Matthesen, with more than 20 years of experience in consumer data, analytics, business strategy and operations, joins Acosta from The Nielsen Company, where he most recently served as President of Global Retail, responsible for leading Nielsen's retailer relationships in more than 100 countries around the world. Prior to joining Nielsen, Matthesen was a partner at The Boston Consulting Group where he collaborated with leading CPG companies to develop and execute growth strategies. He also served in the U.S. Air Force at the Space and Missile Systems Center. Matthesen succeeds current President and CEO Robert Hill, who will become Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, effective Sept. 6, and will continue to work with Acosta's clients and customers in this new role. Hill has been with the company and industry for more than 30 years, serving in a number of capacities at Acosta since 1994.

Acosta Sales & Marketing Co. announced that Tom Corley has joined the company as COO. He succeeds Greg Delaney who retired at the end of 2015 but remains a director of the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company. Corley, who spent more than 30 years with Kraft Foods Group and General Foods, was previously EVP and president of sales and food service for Kraft Foods North America. At Acosta he will be responsible for overseeing the sales and food service divisions; working to deepen relationships between CPG clients and customers; identifying retail operating strategies; and developing a differentiated sales organization.
Acosta Appoints Kevin George as Chief Marketing Officer and President of its Acosta Marketing Group

Acosta announced that it has appointed Kevin George chief marketing officer and president of its Acosta Marketing Group. George will report to the president and CEO of Acosta, effective Nov. 8, 2015, and will be responsible for the overall strategy of AMG and its suite of specialized marketing agencies. George will be based in Chicago.
