The five Tulsa jobs were described as "support positions," while the six in Stillwater were information technology employees in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology. The jobs eliminated were part of a restructuring in the engineering school.

Mark Vaughan was been appointed to the Industry Advisory Committee of Oklahoma State University’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center. Appointed by the speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, Vaughan, former owner of Vaughan Foods in Moore, joins the 16-member advisory board to help oversee the center’s mission and vision. After Vaughan became involved with the family business, he purchased Sooner Spuds of Stroud. Vaughan moved the Stroud business to Oklahoma City and renamed the business Vaughan Foods.
