Dr. Phillip Knutel, former Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Bentley University, has been named Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Babson College. As Vice President and CIO, he will apply his experience in employing a wide range of academic and administrative technology solutions to lead the planning, administration and oversight of all of Babson's information systems, telecommunications, the library, IT security, and online learning project development and execution. He will also be working to create and implement a long-term strategy to align the College's IT priorities with its mission and curriculum. Dr. Knutel was responsible for the design and delivery of high quality blended and hybrid online courses in which enrollments exceeded 20,000 since 2000. He also served as a faculty member in Bentley's Information Design and Corporate Communication Department.

Katherine Craven Joins Babson College as its Chief Administrative Officer

Katherine Craven, executive director of the University of Massachusetts Building Authority, will join Babson College as its chief administrative officer, Babson has announced. In her new role, Craven will direct enterprise strategy and manage financial forecasting for Babson. She will oversee campus and community affairs, human resources, facilities, finance, IT, risk management, summer programs and sustainability. Craven was appointed to the UMass Building Authority in 2011 by UMass President Robert Caret.
