The Miami University board of trustees announced that Gregory Crawford is the finalist to become the school's 22nd president. Current president David Hodge is retiring on June 30 after 10 years of service. Crawford is currently associate provost, vice president and a professor of physics at the University of Notre Dame.

David Hodge to Retire as President of Miami University in 2016

The president of Miami University says he will retire in 2016, after 10 years leading the school in southwest Ohio. David Hodge announced his plans on May 1, 2015 to at a university board of trustees meeting. He says he will retire June 30, 2016, after more than four decades in higher education. He came from the University of Washington in 2006 to become Miami's 21st president.
