Saint Louis University is seeking to sell residential land. In the neighborhood north of Park Avenue, Saint Louis University actually plans to sell its real estate, mostly vacant lots where houses once stood, to encourage new residential development. David Heimburger, Chief Financial Officer of Saint Louis University, said, “We would love to sit down and talk if a franchise group had an agreement with MLS and was interested in Saint Louis University 's land.”

Saint Louis University Appoints Kevin Behrns as Vice President for Medical Affairs and Dean of Medical School

Saint Louis University has appointed Dr. Kevin Behrns as vice president for medical affairs and dean of its medical school, effective January 1. ehrns comes to SLU from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he is chair of the department of surgery. He will succeed Dr. Philip Alderson, who announced his intention to retire last fall. At SLU, Behrns will oversee the educational, research, clinical and service activities of the medical school as well as serve as the key liaison with SSM Health, which owns and operates SLU Hospital. The CEO of SLUCare, the university's physician practice, will report to Behrns. Behrns will report to SLU President Fred Pestello and will serve as a member of his cabinet.
