University of Dayton Announces Executive Changes

The University of Dayton (UD) has a new chief financial officer. Andrew Horner, vice president for research finance and operations at Boston University, will begin as vice president for finance and administrative services at UD. He will start Jan. 12, 2014. Here, Horner will oversee the school's $405.7 million budget and $518.2 million endowment. Horner succeeds Tom Burkhardt, who retires after 22 years at UD this month of December 2014. Among his other experience is 11 years as a consultant for Arthur Andersen & Huron Consulting Group, director of grant and contract financial administration at Yale University, and in administration at George Washington University.

Daniel J. Curran to Step Down as President of University of Dayton, Effective June 2016

Daniel J. Curran, the first lay president in University of Dayton, announced plans on December 9, to step down in June 2016 after presiding over an era of unprecedented growth. Since Curran became president in 2002.
