Intex Technologies (India) Ltd. Launches Intex Aqua Star 4G with iData Saver Feature

Intex Technologies (India) Ltd. has launched its new Intex Aqua Star 4G mobile with a new iData Saver feature. This feature is able to reduce data consumption by up to 50% on images, webpages and streaming, especially with image-heavy audio & video apps, such as Instagram, YouTube, Gaana and Saavn. Intex is the first Indian brand to integrate Opera Max's functionality into its operating system for the 4G-enabled device. The iData Saver is powered by Opera Max, a data-management and data-saving app developed by Opera. Once the iData Saver feature is switched on, the new Aqua Star 4G will automatically start compressing the data consumed by most apps. Users will be able to save data by controlling those apps that consume mobile data, allowing them to get more from their data plans. With Opera Max, users can easily track the data consumed by individual apps, giving them better insight about - and control of - their data usage.

Intex to Invest INR 10 Billion in New Handset Plant in India

Intex plans to invest INR 10 billion to open a manufacturing plant at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Via this move, the company seeks to end its dependence on imports to meet its demand. The company also plans to invest an additional INR 5 billion in research and development over the next few years.

Intex Technologies Launches Aqua Style Mini Android Kitkat Phone Featuring Mary Kom

Intex Technologies has launched its Aqua Style Mini smartphone running Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system at a price of INR 4,990. The Aqua Style Mini houses a dual-core 1.0 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and 1.23 GB of inbuilt memory which is expandable up to 32 GB and is equipped with G + sensor. The smartphone features a 4-inch WVGA Samsung Amoled display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels at 233 ppi. The same display can be found in the Samsung Galaxy S and other similar devices. The Aqua Style Mini mounts a 5 MP rear camera with flash and a front VGA camera and has dual SIM functionality. Both the SIM card slots support 3G and is powered by a 1,400 mAh. The phone supports Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. Intex has associated with Viacom18 to be a brand partner, where-in Intex branding will be prominently featured in the film. To show its support, the company will be taking out 5,000 limited edition smart phones with Olympic bronze medalist Mary Kom's icon embossed at the back of its phones. Available in two colors " White & Black, the phone will be exclusively available on Snapdeal and in a while can also be purchased from retail stores as well.
