CBS RADIO Announces Executive Changes

Andre J. Fernandez has been named President of CBS RADIO. The announcement was made by Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corporation, to whom Fernandez will report. He begins next week and will be based in New York. In this role, Fernandez will oversee the direction and management of the division, which includes 117 stations in 26 major markets as well as a growing collection of digital assets. He was most recently president and chief operating officer of Journal Communications, where he was responsible for the company's broadcasting and publishing assets. Fernandez succeeds Dan Mason, who announced his retirement earlier on April 3, 2015 after 17 years with the company, during which he led CBS RADIO for a total of 15 years.

The Philadelphia Eagles and CBS Radio Inc.’s SportsRadio 94WIP announced a multi-year broadcast partnership for play-by-play coverage of all Eagles pre-season, regular season and post-season games. The agreement also includes new elements such as an HD Radio station devoted exclusively to the Eagles 24/7 with year-round programming. Fans will be able to hear Eagles games on WIP and across the tri-state area’s 11 station Eagles Radio Network. The new deal begins immediately.

CBS RADIO has named Tony Mennuto Vice President, Branded Content Solutions. In this position, Mennuto will develop unique audio and video marketing opportunities for advertisers that can be distributed across a variety of platforms, building awareness and increasing brand recognition. Among his responsibilities will be to create entertaining and experiential storytelling programs that leverage the broadcast reach and expertise of CBS RADIO. The appointment is effective immediately. Mennuto will report to Rich Lobel, Executive Vice President and CMO, Altitude Group, CBS RADIO’s team of local engagement experts tasked with helping Fortune 500 brands connect with consumers using its 117 stations and live events platform, along with assets from CBS Television Stations, and CBS Local Digital Media.
