University of Oklahoma Names Kevin Butterfield as Director of the Institute

University of Oklahoma announced that Classics and letters professor Kevin Butterfield, who served as the first core faculty member in the Institute for the American Constitutional Heritage, has been named director of the institute. Butterfield, who joined the OU faculty in 2010, was named the associate director of the institute in 2013. That same year, he was the National Endowment for the Humanities Research Fellow at the New York Historical Society, researching and writing a book on Membership in America: Joining Together in a Post-Revolutionary Age.
Five Partners Join Ex Libris in Developing Online Reading-List Solution

Ex Libris Ltd. announced a development partnership with the libraries of the University of Oklahoma (OU) in the US, Imperial College and Kingston University in the UK, KU Leuven in Belgium, and UNSW Australia. The partners will participate in the development of a new reading-list solution that is now in the works at Ex Libris. Tailored to the needs of instructors and students, the reading-list solution will provide an easy-to-use application enabling instructors to create, maintain, and review course reading lists of all types and to monitor their use.
University of Oklahoma Appoints Adam Asch as Nancy Johnston Records Chairman and Chief for Hematology-Oncology

An oncologist who specializes in blood cancer has been appointed as the new senior deputy director of the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma. Adam Asch also will serve as the Nancy Johnston Records Chairman in Oncology and hold an appointment as the section chief for Hematology-Oncology at the OU Health Sciences Center. Asch comes to Oklahoma from East Carolina Universityâ s Brody School of Medicine, where he served as the director of oncology and division chief of medical oncology.
