Hamilton College Appoints David Wippman as New President, Effective July 1, 2016

Hamilton College has named David Wippman, 60, as its new president, effective July 1, 2016. Wippman, who will be the college's 20th president, is currently dean of the University of Minnesota Law School, where he also serves as a law professor. Wippman is not new to Upstate New York. He was previously a professor and associate dean at Cornell Law School and served as vice provost for international relations at Cornell University. Wippman, a recognized authority in international law, succeeds Joan Hinde Stewart, who will retire June 30 after 13 years as president.

Hamilton College Names Anne Dinneen as Chief Investment Officer, Effective May 15, 2015

Anne Dinneen, director of investments since 2004 at the James Irvine Foundation in San Francisco, has been named as chief investment officer at Hamilton College. Dinneen, who worked previously at Barclays Global Investors, Thomas Weisel Partners and Banc of America Securities, will manage the college's $922 million endowment and planned giving assets. She will assume her position at Hamilton on May 15.
