Wake Forest University Announces Executive Changes

Wake Forest University announced that Dr. Donna A. Boswell will serve as the Chair of the Board, as her election marks the first female to serve in this role. Bobby R. Burchfield and Gerald Roach have been elected Vice Chairs of the Board, and Hof Milam has been elected Treasurer. Boswell recently retired as a partner in the Health Group of Hogan Lovells US LLP, where she advised hospitals, academic medical centers, research companies and manufacturers on compliance issues. Burchfield recently joined the international law firm of King & Spalding as a partner in its complex litigation practice in Washington, D.C. Roach is a partner at Smith Anderson Blount Dorsett Mitchell and Jernigan in Raleigh. He heads the Corporate Group with a practice focused on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and advising boards and special committees. Boswell succeeds Don Flow, who ended his third consecutive year as Chair on June 30, 2015. Two new members were elected and join the Board on July 1, 2015 are: Henry L. Culp, Jr., McLean, VA; and Student Trustee - Millicent S. Hennessey - New York, NY.
