Yeshiva University Appoints Selma Botman as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost

Selma Botman, the former president of the University of Southern Maine who left that position after a faculty wide 'no-confidence' vote in 2012, has been named the next vice president of academic affairs and provost at Yeshiva University in New York City. Botman resigned from her position as USM president in 2012. She was given a position as special assistant to the chancellor on global education for the final year of her contract. During that time she produced a 39-page, five-year plan for recruiting international students to the University of Maine System.
YU Launches Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Yeshiva University announced a new Master of Science (MS) degree program in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) beginning in the fall 2014 semester. The program will prepare students to become speech-language pathologists working in hospitals, rehabilitative centers, university or college clinics, specialized clinical settings or private practice. Featuring academic training, top-notch professional clinical and research staff and joint-teaching by speech-language and medical professionals, the program offers students the unique opportunity to learn and gain clinical experience all in the same place: the world-class facilities of YU's Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where the program will be housed. Students will have access to clinical settings in the Montefiore Medical Arts Pavilion, Children's Hospital, Wakefield Division of Montefiore, and Aster Avenue Medical.
