Asahi/America, Inc. Key Developments

Asahi/America, Inc. Introduces COOLSAFETM

Asahi/America, Inc. introduced COOLSAFE™ preinsulated piping system for chilled media. COOLSAFE™ is a cost effective complete system consisting of a polyethylene inner layer, polyurethane insulation core, and polyethylene outer layer. Onsite installation labor is dramatically reduced because the pipe and fittings are preinsulated at the factory. Asahi/America's COOLSAFE™ installs easily using conventional butt or electrofusion welding methods. The PEinner by PE outer design allows the system to be simultaneously butt welded, saving installation time and providing a safer installation. COOLSAFE™ components are molded and insulated to strict tolerances to ensure easy installation and longterm insulation of chilled media. COOLSAFE™ provides thermal conductivity better than 0.026 W/mK (0.015 Btuft/hft2F). COOLSAFE™ is available in sizes 32mm 250mm (1" 10") and is in stock now at Asahi/America. The COOLSAFE™ preinsulated piping system includes a complete range of fittings and is supported by Asahi/America's extensive welding equipment fleet. Asahi/America's Type21 ball valves and Type57 butterfly valves can be incorporated into the COOLSAFE™ system to control flow. Ideal applications for Asahi/America's COOLSAFE™ piping system include commercial refrigeration, brewery and winery chilling, secondary cooling of food production, cold storage facilities, and central plant HVAC systems.

Asahi/America, Inc. announced the promotion of Michael J. Hansen to Vice President of the Western Region and International Operations. Asahi/America, Inc. Introduces 1+ Connection Fittings by EM-Technik

Asahi/America, Inc. now offers 1+ style compression fittings by EM-Technik. The 1+ provides a complete seal without the use of tools, and significantly reduces assembly times. The patented new design of the 1+ compression fitting is highlighted by an integrated clamping ring that allows for a secure, reliable, and reusable tube connection without the need for loose ferrules. Available in PP, PVDF and PFA, the 1+ compression fitting is easy to install - simply slide the tubing through the nut and hand-tighten to create a tube connection rated up to 230psi. The 1+ fitting is currently available in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" sizes in union, elbow, tee, and threaded configurations and is perfect for air and liquid handling applications in a wide range of industries including biopharm, analytical, chemical handling, laboratory and research, and food processing.
