Alstom Switzerland Gets EUR 30 Million Deal for Components Installation in Leibstadt Nuclear Plant

Alstom Switzerland secured an order worth EUR 30 million from the operator of the Leibstadt nuclear power station for the retrofit of the two horizontal moisture separator reheaters in the plant. The reheaters are located between the high-pressure and the low-pressure steam turbines of the plant. They are used for the removal of moisture from the steam exiting the high pressure turbine and reheating of the steam to an optimal temperature. This reduces erosion at the low pressure turbine and improves its efficiency.
