Kaazing Corp. Releases Enhanced Version of KWIC to Support Popular Open Source SQL and NoSQL Databases
Mar 14 16
Kaazing Corp. announced that it has released an enhanced version of KWIC that supports popular open source SQL and NoSQL databases. Using several patented technologies, the company noted, KWIC provides secure application-to-application (A2A) connectivity across complex network topologies including the web, with closed firewall ports. The new version of KWIC includes built-in connectivity services for several of the most popular databases globally including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB and Redis, making simple, secure hybrid cloud deployment available to millions of users around the world. KWIC customers can now extend native databases in a hybrid cloud deployment without any open inbound firewall ports for highly secure access. KWIC also allows users to extend any other TCP services securely over the web without any application code changes. This avoids the installation and maintenance of VPNs or costly private networks.
Kaazing Announces the Launch of Kaazing WebSocket Intercloud Connect
Dec 8 15
Kaazing announced the launch of Kaazing WebSocket Intercloud Connect (KWIC) on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. With the general availability of KWIC on Azure, enterprises can now get instant, secure, application-to-application connectivity over the Web without the need for a VPN and without the need to re-architect or rewrite applications. Azure focuses on seamlessly connecting enterprise data centers to the cloud within the Azure framework and makes KWIC a very attractive offering. With KWIC, customers can radically simplify the connectivity between their applications, whether they're deployed on-premise, in the public or private cloud, or any combination thereof. KWIC, a very light-weight alternative to VPN, was designed to meet the high security standards, and specifically scoped to certain applications and protocols. Because of the small footprint and flexibility of KWIC, customers can easily lay out arbitrary topologies, including one-to-one and one-to-many. Additionally, organizations deploying KWIC can completely shut down all the inbound ports of their enterprise and cloud firewalls, significantly reducing the attack surface.
