Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad is seeking to identify and acquire quality assets.

Pelaburan To Sell Land

Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad intends to sell land. Pelaburan is planning to sell close to 790 acres of land it owns in Ulu Bernam, Selangor, documents obtained by The Edge show. According to industry estimates, the land is worth MYR 6 per square foot, which means Pelaburan may be able to sell its tract for MYR 206 million. The documents, titled "For sale by expression of interests" reveal that Savills (M) Sdn Bhd has been appointed to look for buyers. When contacted, Nabeel Hussain, Associate Director of capital markets at Savills, confirms that the company is the exclusive agent for the proposed sale. However, he declines to give more details. Edge Financial added that PHB Managing Director, Datuk Kamalul Arifin Othman, also declines to comment.

Pelaburan Seeks Acquisitions

Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad plans to acquire more prime commercial properties and develop high-value commercial projects nationwide. PHB group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Kamalul Arifin Othman said the aim was in line with its effort to increase the fund size of Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera from time to time, and provide opportunities to the Bumiputera community to participate in property investment. "AHB was established to provide opportunities to Bumiputeras to enable them to join as well as invest and participate as beneficial owners of prime commercial properties in Malaysia via unit holdings in AHB," Datuk Kamalul said at the launch of an additional 1.5 billion AHB units.
